Cause: Vessel, built in 1904 by swan, hunter & wigham richardson and owned at the time of loss by cork steamship co., struck a mine and sank 4.75m n by e of boulogne pier whilst en route from manchester to dunkirk. five lives lost, captain survived. (ll ww1 & dods).
