Cause: built in 1936. hired as minesweeper from 10.1939. bombed and sunk by german aircraft while assisting with evacuation of british expeditionary force from dunkirk.

H1545/64 14.3.73 WK FOUND BY SALVAGE VESSEL 'BARRACUDA' IN POSN 511242N, 023906E. (OSTEND NM 54(P)/73). NAVEAM ISSUED. H1554/64 15.3.73 SW 7MTRS IN 511236N, 023930E [EUR].(OSTEND NM 67/73).

- NM 688/73 H1310/85/8 19.8.84 LOCATED 4 MILES FROM EXTREME POINT NIEUWPORT HBR B'WATER & 3.22 MILES FROM NIEUWPORT BANK BUOY USING RADAR. DIVED ON 19.8.84. WK IS V BROKEN AND LIES IN TWO PARTS. THE SMALLER IS TO THE NE AND ABOUT 3MTRS HIGH. THE LARGER INCLUDES BOILERS WHICH STAND HIGH ABOVE THE SEABED. THOUGHT POSSIBLY TO BE A FRENCH TRAWLER. (J COULON, 25.1.85). FR WK RECORD NO.21612206 GIVES POSN AS 511242N, 023930E [EUR]. NCA YET. H1310/86/24 6.10.86 WK IN 511240N, 023920E IDENTIFIED AS GRACIE FIELDS. 3 PDR SHELL RECOVERED. (J COULON, 15.9.86). NCA.
