Length 95.1 meter, width: 10.1 meter, draught: 3.7, tonnage 1360 ton
Cause: Built in 1930 by john brown & co. 3-drum boilers, turbine engines for 35 knots. four 4.7 inch, two 2 pdr, 5 machine guns. 8 torpedo tubes. badly damaged by bombs from german a/c during dunkirk evacuations in company with hms keith, hms shipjack and hms salamander. hms keith and hms shipjack were sunk and hms basilisk made for dover but sank on sandbank off de panne after an aerial attack. was later destroyed by two torpedoes fired by hms whitehall. (dods, sibi & r verpoorte).
