Cause: 29.5.40 built by j blumer & co. owned at time of loss by the german govenment. formerly latvian ss. seized by germans. triple expansion engine of 303nhp. torpedoed by british submarine 29.5.40 off ostend. (dods). german ss sunk by german submarine u 9 when on passage to england as british prize. (axis sub. successes 1939-45).
