Cause: 15.9.1915 built in 1899 by a & j inglis. owned at time of loss by the london, midland & scottish railway co. compound engines of 304nhp for 19.75 knots. hired as minesweeper 15.9.1915 to 9.7.1920 and again requisitioned from 10.1939 for use as minesweeper. sunk by german aircraft while assisting with evacuation of bef from dunkirk. she had 600 men on board at the time, about 350 lost. (dods).
