Cause: 29.5.40 built 1937 by vickers armstrong with turbine engines of 1379nhp. owned at time of loss by isle of man steam packet co., on government service as an auxiliary transport during evacuation of british army from dunkirk. attacked by aircraft on 29.5.40 while lying outside eastern arm of dunkirk hbr. caught fire, abandoned & sank following day. 15 lives lost.
