Cause: Vessel built 1916 by ayrshire dockyard co., owned at time of loss by hm navy. diagonal compound engines of 1,400nhp. was in company of hms kempton, off the spindle buoy, n. of gravelines, when they struck mines and sank.compliment of this class of vessel was 72. (dods).
