Cause: built in 1931 by soc anon john cockerell. owned at time of loss by belgian state railways. turbine engines of 2779nhp for 23 knots. a cross-channel ferry. struck a mine in a shallow channel. was then run on to a sandbank allowing passengers and crew to disembark before sinking. no lives lost. (dods).
