Length 39 meter, width: 7.6 meter, draught: 3, tonnage 505 ton
Cause: 18.11.19 built of wood by whites, cowes. launched for the admiralty on 21 march 1868 by whites, cowes. equipped with disconnecting engines developing 500 ihp by rennie. sold to the multilocular shipbreaking co on 28 october 1919. on 18.11.19 lloyds reported that whilst on tow from sheerness to stranraer for breaking up, had drifted ashore during the night at periel on the e side of holyhead bay. government tug 'aid' was standing by on 19.11.19 at hw, aid towed the vessel off and continued the tow. later that day when 10 miles s of the calf of man she broke adrift. when last seen was waterlogged with seas washing over the forepart. VESSEL IS OF WOOD CONSTRUCTION, BOW EXTENDING TOWARD THE WHEELHOUSE IS UPRIGHT AND INTACT. FROM BEHIND THE WHEELHOUSE ON THE PORT AND STBD SIDES AT ORIGINAL DECK LEVEL ARE LARGE GUNNEL TIMBERS OR DECK SUPPORTS EXTENDING 10MTRS OUT. THE HULL BELOW THESE TIMBERS TO THE KEEL AND THE COUNTER STERN IS COMPLETELY BROKEN UP AND LIES ON THE SEABED IN A MASS OF FITTINGS, STEAM PIPEWORK AND ROTTEN TIMBER.
