Cause: sunk at 0715 by a mine in the mine barrage qzx in the st george's channel. crew of 44 lost previously recorded as being sunk after being depth charged by hm ships havelock and hesperus and a flying boat. this was, in fact, against the already sunken wreck of u 246 and it brought personal belongings of a crew member of u 246 to the surface.
