Cause: Built in 1941 by william gray & co ltd, west hartlepool. used at time of loss by the ministry of war transport. two boilers, triple expansion engine, single shaft. a 'scandanavian' class empire ship with '3 islands'. passage london for sunderland. in ballast. torpedoed by e-boats. ten men lost.
