Cause: built in 1939 by sch-deltzijl v/h sander of groningen. owned at time of loss by j pinkster. oil engine of 350bhp, single shaft. passage runcorn for belfast. struck a rock at 1.15pm in dense fog and immediately started taking in water. drifted out from the calf and by 5pm the vessel was abandoned. crew of 4 and the master's wife rescued after an hour by cable ship ariel. (sibi).
