Cause: vessel was 6th rate of 24 guns. captured from the french in 1799 by revolutionnaire. (colledge). wrecked in 490916n, 021126w after striking a sunken rock off noirmont pt. (t a titterington).

(LETTERS FROM T A TITTERINGTON TO D OF C(N) DATED 23.11.68 & 3.12.68). SOLD TO T A TITTERINGTON. (LM, CONTRACTS BATH). H4647/68 8.10.69 THIS COULD BE THE FIRST WK REPORTED IN 490914N, 020908W WITH BELL DATED 1793 & BROAD ARROW. (PLYMOUTH DIVING TEAM). NCA. POSN FOR FILING ONLY. H1271/71 2.11.71 'ARNOLD MAERSK', 'KILLURIN' & 'LA DETERMINEE' REPORTED ON TOP OF EACH OTHER. (CHANNEL ISLANDS SALVAGE COMPANY). H1310/81/6 6.3.81 BELL DTD 1798 RECOVERED. CAPTAIN AT TIME OF LOSS WAS CAPT ALEXANDER BECHER. (T A TITTERINGTON, 10.2.81).
