Cause: 21.12.1804 vessel, grounded in grouville bay whilst being towed to gorey after being washed onto a gravel bank during a storm & filling in with gravel. initial grounding 21.12.1804 & later abandoned in april 1805 approx. (t a titterington, jersey maritime museum, 6.1.77).
