Recreation area the Twiske is located ten north of Amsterdam between Den Ilp, Landsmeer en Oostzaan. It consists of diverse lakes, ditches, meadows and bushes and is surrounded by a dike with cycling and walking. De Leers, aan de Stootersplas, is a of the seven officialële swimming locations in the area.
