The recreation area the Twiske is located to north of Amsterdam between Den Ilp, Landsmeer and Oostzaan. It consists of various lakes, ditches, meadows and bushes and is surrounded by a dike with cycling and walking. The Vennegatbeach at the Stootersplas is a of the seven officialële swimming locations in the area.
