This bathing water location is classified in the water quality class “bad” and has therefore a permanent negative swimming advice. This class is determined on the basis of bacteriological research over a period of four years in the classification, “excellent”, “good”, “acceptable” or “bad”. It consists of a recreation part and a resting area (on the eastern side). Central in the recreation area is the Jagersplas, a large, deep lake with adjacent single wide ditches. The Snipe is één of the four officialële swimming locations in the Jagersplas. This is not on the large lake, but on the wide ditches and small puddles on the westside of the area.
