Cause: Liberty ship type vessel, built 1943 by bethlehem fairfield shipyard with triple expansion engines of 339 nhp. damaged by mines at the entrance to r. scheldt & later sunk by allied shipping. owned at time of loss by new zealand shipping co., vessel was on passage antwerp to thames as ministry of war transport. 7 lives lost.
