The recreational lake Vlietland located ten southeast of Voorschoten. The recreational lake Vlietland is a deep sand pit consisting of two puddles that in open connection stand with the basin. The total open water surface of Vlietland amounts to zo'n 370 ha, the central heart (northern part) of Vlietland where the most swimmingwateractivities take place amounts approximate 130 hectares.
