LIES 155/335DEGS. APPEARS PARTIALLY INTACT WITH DAMAGE TO STERN, WHICH LIES TO THE NW. DEBRIS NEAR STERN ON SURROUNDING SEABED. POSSIBLE SCOUR TO NW. SEABED OF RIPPLED SAND AND SANDWAVES. (GARDLINE, HI 801). BR STD. 28.7.05 28.7.05 EUT POSN: 5416.408N, 0028.085E. NE 1191. 27.5.09 27.5.09 LOCATED AND DIVED IN 5416.406N, 0028.098E [WGD] AT LW ON 24.5.09. FOUND TO THE FORE SECTION OF AN OLD SS, NOT HOLMAR I AS PREVIOUSLY RECORDED [SEE 73566]. LIES UPRIGHT IN 66MTRS ON SAND. BOWS NW, INTACT WITH SOME MINOR COLLISION DAMAGE, AND FORM THE HIGHEST PART OF THE WK AT ABOUT 5-6MTRS OFF THE SEABED. REST OF WK STANDS 3-4MTRS HIGH. VESSEL HAS ONE BOILER, AND ENDS ABRUPTLY JUST AFT OF BOILER, NO ENGINE OR STERN WAS SEEN. LENGTH 25-30MTRS, BEAM 6-7MTRS. SMALL PIECE OF WRECKAGE LIES 10MTRS AFT OF MAIN PART. AN ANCHOR & CHAIN LIES ON FORWARD DECK. THERE ARE NO ANCHORS OR CHAIN IN THE HAWSER HOLES AT THE BOW. A DECAYED ENGINE TELEGRAPH HEAD WAS RECOVERED FROM THE AREA JUST AFT OF THE BOILER. NOTHING WAS FOUND TO IDENTIFY THE WK, WHICH IS POSSIBLY A WW2 CASUALTY FROM THE STATE OF THE HULL, HAVING BEEN TORPEDOED IN AREA OF ENGINE ROOM/STERN. VESSEL HAD NO FORWARD HOLD HATCH.
