Dijkstrand is located on the Lemsterdijk ter height of the fisherman's monument on Urk. Het Dijkstrand is in management at municipality Urk, a small beach of 180 meter length located on the IJsselmeer, on both side shielded by means of breakwaters with in the middle a passage. The beach is equipped with playground, info board, bicycle racks, benches, sufficient trash cans and on the beach state a unit toilets and Showers.
