APPEARS TO BE AN OLD STEAM TRAWLER APPROX 30-35MTRS & 6MTRS WIDE. STANDS APPROX 5MTRS HIGH, UPRIGHT ON FINE SILT/MUD SEABED. BOWS NE, INTACT AT DECK LEVEL, BUT DAMAGED LOWER DOWN BOW STEM BY POSSIBLE TRAWL DAMAGE. ADMIRALTY TYPE ANCHOR LIES ON STARBOARD SIDE OF BOW. BOW WINCH FALLEN THROUGH DECK. LARGE STEAM WINCH AMIDSHIPS, WITH TELEGRAPH BEHIND THE BASE OF WHICH IS BROKEN IN TWO. MUCH OF THE DECK IN FRONT OF WINCH HAS DECAYED, ALTHOUGH SOME WOODEN DECKING REMAINS. SINGLE BOILER AFT OF THE STEAM WINCH WITH WHAT APPEARS TO BE A TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE THE TOP OF SWHICH IS JUST VISIBLE AFT OF THE BOILER. WK HAS A SINGLE PROPELLER, THE RUDDER HAS FALLEN AWAY. THE STEERING CONTROL ARM & A PILE OF CHAIN ARE VISIBLE ON THE STERN DECK, AFT OF A SMALL INTACT RAISED STERN ROOM HOUSING COVER. SHIP'S WHEEL BOSS CAP WAS RECOVERED FROM STARBOARD DECK AMIDSHIPS BUT NO DEFINATE IDENTIFICATION WAS MADE. (A DOWSLAND E-MAIL DTD 20.9.10) POSSIBLE THAT NP 1008 REPORTS ABOVE HAVE BEEN TRANPOSED WITH THOSE OF WRECK CLOSE W [SEE 6704]. NCA.
