LEAST E/S DEPTH 34.3 IN GEN DEPTH 43MTRS. LENGTH 75MTRS, WIDTH 15MTRS. LIES 010/190 DEGS. LARGE MAGNETOMETER DEFLECTION. BROKEN INTO TWO PIECES, MAIN BODY OF WK LIES TO THE N, SOME 50MTRS LONG AND ORIENTATED 000/180 DEGS. SMALLER PIECE OF WRECKAGE 40MTRS LONG AND 15MTRS WIDE, ORIENTATION 060/240 DEGS LIES 5MTRS FURTHER S. (NP 1008, HI 674). BR STD. HH351/100/21 12.8.05 HH351/100/21 12.8.05 DIVED IN LISTED POSN. WK IS IN TWO PARTS. S PART (STERN) IS ON ITS PORT SIDE WITH ONE MAST EVIDENT AND DISAPPEARING INTO THE SEABED. SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE NEAR THE BREAK POINT AT THE N END. N PART (BOWS) LIES APPROX 15MTRS AWAY AND IS COMPLETELY INVERTED WITH TWO BOILERS SEEN AT THE W END. BOTH PARTS FORM ALMOST A 'T' ON THE SEABED. ONE PIECE OF CROCKERY HAD GOVERNMENT 'BROAD ARROW' ON IT. EVIDENCE OF SHELLS/CORDITE ON THE WK. BELIEVED TO BE BRITISH, PROBABLY FROM WW1 AND POSSIBLY A TORPEDO VICTIM. (A PAYTON, EMAIL DTD 1.8.05).
