Cause: built in 1943 by w butler (shipbuilders) inc, superior. owned at time of loss by k a thanassiades & g n bournias. passage tripoli, lebanon, for tripoli, libya. had fire in the boiler room, was abandoned by crew and raf fire fighters beached vessel in episkopi bay where fire was extinguished. (msd).
