Cause: built in 1907 by cook welson & gemmel, beverly. owned by the standard steam fishing co ltd. one boiler, triple expansion engine, single shaft. machinery by amos & smith, hull. (sibi). reported to have been used as radar detection vessel, moored at entrance to the wash, during ww2. later converted for use by raf as target. broke free from mooring during a gale and went ashore at hunstanton in around 1944. referred to as the 'sheridan' in local newspaper cutting.
