Shipwreck details

Name: HMS BERKELEY (PART OF)

Length 82.9 meter, width: 8.5 meter, draught: 2.4, tonnage 904 ton

Cause: Built in 1939 by cammel laird. hunt class type 1. 3-drum boilers, turbine engines of 19000shp for 27.5 knots, twin shaft. four 4 inch guns, eight smaller. during the dieppe raid received a direct hit by a heavy bomb which broke her back and flooded the engine room. 15 ratings lost. (dods).
