Passantenhaven Delft The harbor of Delft is a beautiful base for a few wonderful days in this beautiful historic city in South Holland. Many already preceded you, because last year nearly 1700 recreational ships and 118 charter -vessel ships installed in Delft. Sanitary facilities are in the port office on Hooikade 13. You can use shower and toilet there and there are washing machines and a dryer. Moreover, you can store your dirty water in the port office. The port office is open during the sailing season from 1 April to 1 October from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The beautiful historic center of Delft is within walking distance of the harbor and can be reached via a passage under the Kapelsbrug. You will be directly in the city center of Delft within 5 minutes! The cozy streets are already an experience in themselves. You walk past beautiful historical facades, age -old canals and alleys. In the most unexpected places you sometimes find almost hidden atmospheric courtyards and many unique shops. The city center of Delft also has countless catering establishments and beautiful squares with atmospheric terraces. As soon as the sun shines, it is very busy. Highlights When visiting the city include the Oude Kerk and the Nieuwe Kerk and the Museum Prinsenhof Delft. In the Vermeer Center Delft you will learn everything about Johannes Vermeer, the world -famous Delft painter from the seventeenth century. The Porceleyne bottle, where the famous Delfts is made blue, is just outside the center, but, like all the other sights of Delft, is within walking distance of the harbor.
