The main provisions of this priority arrangement are:
1. Due to safety and the smooth running of shipping, the Peelschap can grant the right of priority to protection by the Mijndense Sluis to:

2. The right to priority shall apply only during the period from 1 May to 15 September.
3. Ships wishing to make use of the right of priority granted shall, upon approach to the lock, carry the red light at such a height that it is clearly visible.
