Vlietsingel aan het IJsselmeer is part of recreational the Vooroever. There are three sandy beaches. Regattastrand (in the vernacular it Grote strand) ligt ten south of a marina. The other two lie in Vlietsingel Poel (ook wel de Zwemkom mentioned), separated from the IJsselmeer by a basalt dam.

In this case it concerns the intestinal bacteria Escherichia coli (E.coli) and intestinal enterococci, which occur in the feces of both animals and humans.
