The Tuindorpbad is located in the city district Tuindorp ’t Lansink in Hengelo (figure 3.1). Original was it a sand excavation ten behoeve of the construction of this residential area. At request of residents was in the pond a pool- and swimming facility realized. In 1923 the swimming pool was in used .

The water quality measurement is based on the amount of bacteria in nanograms per deciliter (n /dl).
