The swimming location “Rietplaat” is located in the northern part of the Biesbosch. The bathing water location is located ten zuid of the reservoir Petrusplaat. In the Biesbosch self is no urban area located, on the southside of the Amer are the villages Drimmelen (on 2 km) en Geertruidenberg (op 6 km) located.
