Swimming pond de Swanneblom is located near de Klaesterdijk te Slappeterp, een Frisian village between Franeker en Leeuwarden in the municipality Menameradiel. The lake is used to swim and sunbathe by guests from a nearby campsite and local residents. The lake is via a walking route from two sides to reach.

The water quality measurement is based on the amount of bacteria in nanograms per deciliter (n /dl).
