The swimming location is located on Schiermonnikoog ten northeast of the village Schiermonnikoog. The swimming lake is sheltered in a forest and dune area and is owned of Natuurmonumenten. The lake is dug ten behoeve van sand extraction for dike improvementworks beginning ’60-er years. To the good water quality stable to keep is a helophyte filter constructed.
