Cause: built in 1934 by j 7 k smit's mach, kinderdijk. owned at time of loss by n v l smit & co, sleepdienst. 6 cylinder, 4 stroke oil engine, single shaft. passage brook ledge for the solent after failed attempt to salve brother george. hold during salvage attempt and sank in deep water. (ll & south coast shipwrecks).
