Length 106.4 meter, width: 11 meter, draught: 3, tonnage 1700 ton

Cause: 6.6.1944 built in 1942 by the federal shipbuilding co. babcock & wilcox boilers, turbine engines of 50,000shp, twin shaft. four 5 inch, four 40mm & seven 20mm guns, five torpedo tubes. mined whilst engaged in the operations consequent upon the landing of the allied army in france on 'd day', 6.6.1944. two other us destroyers, the 'corry' and the 'meredith', were also mined in the same area on the same day. (dods).
