H3838/86 29.3.88 H3838/86 29.3.88 EXAM'D 29.9.87 BY HMS BULLDOG WITH HYDROSEARCH USING HIFIX/6. LEAST E/S DEPTH 43 IN GEN DEPTH 45.5MTRS. NO SCOUR. DCS3 HT 3.1MTRS; HYDROSEARCH VERTICAL HT 2.1MTRS, SHADOW HT 2.2MTRS. SMALL WK. LENGTH 7.3MTRS. E/S DEPTH OBTAINED IN LESS THAN IDEAL CONDITIONS. (HMS FAWN, HI 357). NFA. HH100/351/03 28.9.90 HH100/351/03 28.9.90 DIVED ON 10.9.90. FOUND TO BE A MOUND OF PIG IRON, THOUGHT TO BE EITHER THE BALLAST OR CARGO OF A SAILING VESSEL. VERY LITTLE TIMBER SHOWS THROUGH THIS COMPACT HEAP OF WRECKAGE WHICH IS ORIENTATED E/W. TWO LARGE ADMIRALTY PATTERN ANCHORS LIE AT E END. LENGTH 40-50FT, WIDTH 15-20FT. (K F HURLEY, DTD 19.9.90). NCA.
