Details measurements/cartography: SEP 2008/000082155 7.10.08 OBSTN EXISTS IN RIVER GANNEL IN PA 5024.56N, 0506.70W [WGD]. CONSISTS OF A 'FOOT BRIDGE' CONSTRUCTED OF SCAFFOLDING. ITS PURPOSE IS TO ALLOW ACCESS ACROSS THE RIVER GANNEL AT THIS POINT AT ALL TIMES WHEN THE LEVEL OF THE TIDE IS BELOW THAT OF THE FOOT BRIDGE. AT THESE TIMES THE BRIDGE IS NOT REALLY A DANGER TO NAVIGATION, AS THERE CAN BE NO NAVIGATION THERE. WHEN THE TIDE IS ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE BRIDGE IT IS AN UNMARKED AND UNCHARTED DANGER. IT ALSO BLOCKS THE DEEPEST PART OF THE CHANNEL. IT COVERS AT ABOUT 1 HOUR BEFORE HW, AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME AS THE CHARTED DUCKBOARD BRIDGE AT 5024.47N, 0505.94W. (R LLOYD, EMAIL DTD 2.10.08).
