(MONSANTO OIL CO (UK) INC., TLX 28.3.83). CHART AS WK 100MTRS. BR STD. H4226/85 7.7.88 WK CONFIRMED, GEN DEPTH 140MTRS. (EPSHOM, 10.6.88 FR WK NO.14588032). AMEND TO WK 130MTRS. BR STD. 29.10.08 WK FOUND 27.5.08 IN 4855.08N, 0838.17W [WGD] IN GEN DEPTH 162MTRS. LIES 262DEG WITH BOW APPROX 270DEG. LENGTH 58MTRS, WIDTH 15MTRS, HT APPROX 9-12MTRS. FISHING NET & CABLE WERE SEEN CAUGHT ON THE WK, WITH THE CABLE EXTENDING FAR ABOVE IT IN THE THE WATER COLUMN. SUBMARINE NR 1 PASSED OVER THE WK AT 138MTRS WITHOUT SNAGGING. APPEARS TO BE A METAL HULLED CONTACT & POSSIBLY EARLY 1900'S ORIGIN. ANCHOR STILL ATTACHED TO THE BOW OF THE SHIP BUT THE STERN IS HEAVILY DAMAGED. WK IS UPRIGHT & IS PROBABLY A SMALL MERCHANT VESSEL, POSSIBLY TANKER. (OCEAN TECHNOLOGY FOUNDATION, EMAIL DTD 16.10.08 & SUBMARINE NR 1). AMEND TO WK USC 135MTRS IN REVISED POSN. BR STD .
