CHART AS OBSTN 17.4MTRS. BR STD. H1280/77/13 1.9.77 THE OBSTN IS MADE UP OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE STEEL OR CAST IRON BARS MADE UP IN BUNDLES APPROX 1FT X 6INS SQUARE & VARYING IN LENGTH TO A MAXIMUM OF 18FT. THEY HAVE BEEN METHODICALLY STACKED IN A LATTICE FASHION, EACH LAYER AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE NEXT. THE COMPLETE BLOCK MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 8FT HIGH FROM THE SEABED BY 18FT WIDE BY 36FT LONG. LENGTHWAYS ORIENTATION IS APPROX SSE/NNW. THIS WAS PROBABLY THE CARGO OF A WOODEN SAILING SHIP OR BARGE, THE HULL OF WHICH IS NOW TOTALLY DISPERSED, LEAVING ONLY THE CARGO STANDING. CINC REQUESTED.
