SITUATED HARD UP AGAINST COASTLINE, CLOSE ALONGSIDE EXISTING OIL JETTY. LENGTH 192FT. (POOLE HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS, DTD 10-21.12.76 & 20.1.77). NE 2611. 13.11.95 REPORT THAT HULK OF LCT [MK III] [192FT, 350T DISP.], THOUGHT TO BE NO 405, LIES ALONGSIDE OIL JETTY. VISIBLE AT LOW WATER. (D FRICKER, CMU PORTSMOUTH TELECONS, 10/13.11.95). NCA. 20.11.95 EXISTENCE CONFIRMED. THOUGHT TO BE LCT [MK IV] CAPABLE OF CARRYING NINE TANKS, STILL INTACT, NO (4)510. BELIEVED LAID UP SINCE MID-1950'S.
