Cause: built in 1891 by chatham dockyard. turbine engines of 144,000 bhp, quadruple shafts. 8 x 5 inch, 12 x 5.5 inch, 4 x 4 inch & 4 x 3 pdr guns. 4 torpedo tubes. removed from fleet list in march 1911 and placed in reserve. was used as target for torpedo tests. at the outbreak of ww1 was sunk in the south ship channel just outside the breakwaters as a blockship. (sibi & nhb).
