Name: Name nicht bekannt

Length 115.8 meter, width: 22.9 meter, tonnage 14150 ton

Cause: built in 1891 by chatham dockyard. turbine engines of 144,000 bhp, quadruple shafts. 8 x 5 inch, 12 x 5.5 inch, 4 x 4 inch & 4 x 3 pdr guns. 4 torpedo tubes. removed from fleet list in march 1911 and placed in reserve. was used as target for torpedo tests. at the outbreak of ww1 was sunk in the south ship channel just outside the breakwaters as a blockship. (sibi & nhb).

(T SIMS, BSAC). NCA. H2928/83 8.10.85 WK LIES SW/NE ACROSS SOUTH SHIP CHANNEL, IN 503406.4N, 022513.2W [OGB]. NOT FULLY EXAM'D BUT LEAST E/S DEPTH OF 2MTRS OBTAINED. REASONABLE DEPTH OF WATER EXISTS BETWEEN WK AND "D" HEAD. THIS CHANNEL BEING REGULARLY USED BY SMALL BOATS THAT CAN PASS UNDER THE POWER CABLE THAT SPANS THE CHANNEL. (HMSML GLEANER, HI 207). PROBABLE BOILERS EVIDENT THROUGH COLLAPSING HULL. MAN-MADE BOTTOM FEATURES TO S OF THE WRECK AND PARALLEL TO IT. POSSIBLY CONCRETE BLOCKS OR PILES. FULL DATA SET NOT GATHERED AS ABOVE WATER OBSTNS LIMITED ACCESS CAUSING A HOLE IN THE DATA AROUND THE STBD BOW SECTION. HOWEVER CONSIDERED FULLY SURVEYED. (HMSML GLEANER, HI 1217).
