WELL BROKEN UP WITH STERN LIST 70DEGS TO PORT. IRON PROP AND PROPSHAFT TUNNEL FOUND. BOW BROKEN OFF AND LYING TO ONE SIDE. ABOUT 1200 GRT. GUN MOUNTING ON STERN IS UNUSUAL 10 PDR APPARENTLY PART OF UNFULFILLED RUSSIAN CONTRACT AND FITTED TO SOME MERCHANTMEN. POSSIBLY A REQUISITIONED OR INTERNED VESSEL. INS WK 56MTRS. BR STD. 5.9.08 5.9.08 DIVED 28.7.08. WK IS VERY BROKEN AND THE TWO BOILERS SEEM TO BE DISPLACED FROM THE MAIN HULL. FOR A VESSEL OF THIS SIZE THIS WOULD SUGGEST A COMPOUND ENGINED SHIP, ALTHOUGH THE ENGINE WAS NOT SEEN. BOW LIES 45 DEGS TO STBD AND THE REMAINS OF THE STEMPOST STANDS 1MTR HIGH. THERE IS AN OLD PATTERN ANCHOR AT THE BOW. (N R CHIPCHASE).
