IDENTIFIED AT BRITISH MUSEUM AS A LATE 11TH CENTURY HIBERNO-NORSE SWORD HILT GUARD WHICH STRONGLY SUGGESTS EXISTENCE OF A VIKING WK IN THIS AREA. SITE SUBJECT TO EMERGENCY DESIGNATION AS AN HISTORIC WK BY CADW. (ADU SITE REPORT ADU 91/25). NCA YET. HA 141/02/01/04 14.1.92 AREA RADIUS 300MTRS CENTRED ON 514310.8N, 054017.5W DESIGNATED AS PROTECTED WK SITE. (STATUTORY INSTRUMENT 2746/91).
