Cause: built in 1899 by burmeister & wain, copenhagen with triple- expansion engines of 203nhp. owned at time of loss by hjalmar roed & co. torpedoed by german sub. passage rouen for glasgow in ballast. (ll ww1 & dods). torpedoed 2m w crammag head & sank immediately. on voyage from holyhead to clyde. (report buncrana master nc greenock).

ON A ROLLING SANDY BOTTOM, PARTS OF WHICH RISE CONSIDERABLY HIGHER THAN THE WK. LIES EQUIDISTANT BETWEEN SINKING POSNS OF ULABRAND & RIO VERDE BUT BECAUSE OF SIZE IT SEEMS LIKELY TO BE ULABRAND. (HMS FAWN). BR STD.
