Cause: broke hawser while under tow from harwich to falmouth. considered to be a danger to navigation and sunk by gunfire from the sloop hms kennet. (cornish shipwrecks, vol 1).

(J WHITE, 1.6.77). CHART AS USC 55MTRS. [SEE ALSO [18145] IN 501955N, 032954W]. 14.6.00 DIVED IN 5011.170N, 0446.180W [WGD] USING DGPS. THIS IS A DEFINITE U BOAT. (I MCCARTNEY, TELECON 14.6.00). AMEND POSN. BR STD. SEP 2014/000153151 17.9.14 NOT LOCATED 2014 USING M/B & MAGNETOMETER. (MMT, HI 1455). PREVIOUSLY DIVED. AMEND FOUL.
