Cause: A mark viic boat. built in 1944 by flensburger sbg. oil engines of 2800bhp, twin shaft. passage from brest for patrol and return. sunk by hms watchman just after having sunk troopship ss cuba. sank when hedgehog missile from watchman struck near the conning tower. (sibi).

INTACT & LISTING. CONNING TOWER INTACT. PRESSURE HULL BREACHED CLOSE TO CONNING TOWER. STRONG MAGNETIC ANOMALY REPORTED. SEABED SHINGLE. (T JOHNSON, LTR DTD 10.10.00). AMEND POSN. BR STD.
