Cause: built of iron in 1860 by l hill & co, port glasgow. owned at time of loss by dublin & liverpool ss packet co. one boiler, compound expansion engine of 75hp, single shaft. passage liverpool for ?dublin. general cargo. collided with ss 'chacabuco' and sank under tow 3m off great ormes hd. all crew except one man recovered by s tug 'guiding star'.
