Cause: 5.11.73 built in 1958 by a g weser, bremen. owned at time of loss by unimar shipping. passage narvik for gijon. last report to norddeich radio stn at 2100hrs [gmt], & last possible siting at 0900hrs [gmt] on 5.11.73 by liberian ss sea navigator. air & sea search found no trace of vessel, but lifebuoy was washed ashore on 15.11.73 on w coast of denmark, & forepart of lifeboat recovered near hvinde on 23.11.73. (msd).

DUE TO EXTENSIVE SURVEYS HAVING BEEN CARRIED OUT BY OIL COMPANIES SINCE 1966, RECENT WK, PRESUMED TO BE 'THEODORE A S' WHICH WAS REPD MISSING IN THIS LOCALITY. INS AS USC 40MTRS.
