Cause: 15.6.17 built in 1904 by ropner & son, stockton-on-tees. owned at time of loss by sir robert ropner. two boilers, triple expansion engine of 258nhp, single shaft. passage plymouth for the tees. survived a torpedo attack by a submarine on 15.6.17 and was beached to prevent sinking. after temp repairs foundered while on passage to the tees for docking and repair.
