- NM 1473/07. 21.2.07 DIVED IN LISTED POSN. CONFIRMED POSN CORRECT AS REPORTED BY SCALLOP DIVER. ORIENATION NE/SW, NOSE NE, SINGLE ENGINE IN PLACE, PROPELLOR BUCKLED. SKIN OF THE 2 SEATER AIRCRAFT CORRODED AWAY, STARBOARD SIDE WING IN PLACE, PORT WING BROKEN OFF AND LYING ON SEABED BESIDE REST OF AIRCRAFT. TAIL LIES 5MTRS TO SE OF MAIN WRECKAGE. UNDERCARRIAGE DOWN. (K HEATH, TELECON 21.2.07) NFA. 5.3.07 IDENTIFIED AS A GRUMANN AVENGER, AMERICAN CONSTRUCTION, DUE TO PRESENCE OF 14 CYLINDER ENGINE AND MACHINE GUNS IN FOLDING WINGS.
